Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically curious IT Intern to join our team and play a hands-on role in modernizing our manufacturing operations. You will use artificial intelligence, scripting, and IoT technologies to build automation solutions for our ERP/MRP system and core business processes. Your flagship project will be the design and implementation of real-time machine-monitoring dashboards powered by IoT devices. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain meaningful experience at the intersection of AI, industrial IoT, and manufacturing while directly impacting operational efficiency and data-driven decision making.
If you are passionate about using cutting-edge technology to solve real business challenges and want to spend your summer building solutions that matter, we would love to hear from you! Please submit your resume, a brief cover letter (or note) describing why you’re excited about AI/IoT in manufacturing, and any relevant projects or GitHub links.
This is an on-site internship May–August 2026.

• Identify opportunities to apply AI and automation to improve quality processes, production scheduling, inventory management, and other business operations.
• Collaborate closely with the Quality team and the IT group at our sister company to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with company standards.
• Document technical work, create user guides, and provide basic training to end users.
• Participate in team meetings, present project updates, and contribute fresh ideas for leveraging emerging technologies.
• Troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and maintain clean, well-organized code.

• Basic understanding of IoT concepts, sensors, APIs, or data streaming.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive, self-starter mindset.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred
• Prior exposure to ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Epicor, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
• Experience with manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Knowledge of database querying (SQL) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
• Enthusiasm for Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing, or digital transformation.
What You’ll Gain
• Direct mentorship from the Quality Manager and exposure to both Quality and IT leadership.
• End-to-end ownership of a high-impact IoT/AI project that will be used in daily operations.
• Practical experience with real-world ERP automation, IoT integration, and data visualization.
