Position Overview

The Sales Operations Analyst will serve as a key point of contact for inbound inquiries related to used Caterpillar equipment. This role is responsible for managing customer relationships, locating and brokering equipment transactions, preparing quotes and contracts, and developing standardized processes for sales operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to work independently with discretion and sound judgment.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:

•    Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound phone and web inquiries related to used equipment, delivering prompt and professional customer service. 
•    Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate equipment solutions by leveraging product knowledge and inventory availability. 
•    Source equipment internally and externally to meet customer specifications, coordinating with dealers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. 
•    Broker equipment transactions by facilitating negotiations, aligning terms, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards. 
•    Prepare and manage all sales documentation including quotes, contracts, purchase agreements, and delivery schedules. 
•    Develop and implement standardized processes for quoting, contracting, and transaction execution to improve efficiency and consistency across the sales cycle. 
•    Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, equipment listings, sales activities, and transaction details in CRM and other systems. 
•    Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, logistics, and legal teams to ensure smooth execution of deals and timely delivery of equipment. 
•    Monitor market trends, pricing benchmarks, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies and improve customer satisfaction. 
•    Provide post-sale support including follow-up communication, issue resolution, and relationship management to encourage repeat business. 
•    Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps, recommending solutions, and participating in system enhancements. 
•    Uphold the company’s brand reputation by delivering a high standard of professionalism, integrity, and responsiveness in all customer interactions.
•    Generate new business opportunities through proactive lead generation activities including outbound outreach, follow up campaigns, and targeted prospecting.
•    Call on internet leads and conduct outbound cold calls to qualify prospects, assess needs, and convert inquiries into active sales opportunities.
•    Other duties as assigned.
