Position Overview
RION Equipment is seeking a motivated Field Service Technician to join our team in Omaha, Nebraska. In this role, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of material handling and aerial equipment at customer locations. You'll work on engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, and other critical equipment components while delivering outstanding customer service.
This is an excellent opportunity for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy problem-solving, working independently, and helping customers keep their equipment running safely and efficiently.
What You'll Do

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine systems

Read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics

Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections

Conduct failure analysis to identify root causes of equipment issues

Repair and service engines, transmissions, steering systems, brakes, and powertrain components

Test hydraulic cylinders and verify equipment operates safely and correctly

Order and identify replacement parts as needed

Complete work orders, service reports, warranty documentation, and other required paperwork

Provide customers with repair recommendations and estimates

Maintain service vehicle, tools, and equipment in a safe and professional manner

Follow all company safety procedures, contamination control practices, and HAZMAT requirements

Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain positive customer relationships

Participate in ongoing technical and professional development training

Assist in mentoring and supporting apprentice technicians when needed
What We're Looking For

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Ability to diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
-
Experience working with industrial, construction, agricultural, or material handling equipment preferred

Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and service manuals

Strong communication and customer service skills

Commitment to safety and quality workmanship

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
