Position Overview
Vancer is looking for a Field Service Manager who leads Field Technicians and Service Writer(s) in the daily service operations for field-related activities. This position is responsible for providing a safe workplace and developing a “Safety First” culture. The Field Service Manager is responsible for hiring and developing employees as well as addressing employee issues. This position will be fully responsible for the financial performance of the field. As such, it will fall on the Field Service Manager to create an operating budget, control costs, build loyal customers, meet financial objectives, and establish good employee relations.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:
- Responsible for the daily operations of the assigned service department, including managing field staff and service writer(s), reviewing profit and loss, staffing, employee development, equipment utilization, equipment maintenance, and safety regulations.
- Manages employees within the department including but not limited to hiring, training and developing employees, delegating work assignments, writing and conducting performance appraisals, establishing learning plans, coaching and counseling employees, and administering disciplinary procedures.
- Plans, manages and controls field service-related activities associated with service repair work. Strives for constant improvement and development of service department by researching and developing new techniques and procedures to increase overall efficiency of service department operation.
- Ensures the highest levels of customer service is provided through constant communication with the technicians, support functions, other departments, OEM representatives, and the customer.
- Provides frequent communication of service status updates for each customer; conducts research, fact-finding, resolution and follow-up of customer questions and concerns. Provides advice and reports related to repair options for internal and external customers.
- Supports and trains employees on Standard Operating Procedures to ensure that all company policies and procedures are followed.
- Stays current on available product offerings and warranty information supported by division.
